In the Fig 18 obtained by sections tested with the Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM), you can already observe a gap in the centre, at a lower enlargement. This occurs because the laser beam is not able to reach in a complete way the structures to be welded. In addition, it’s possible to see the interface line between the joint that don’t interpenetrate. The next figure at a bigger enlargement shows it.
